Assistant Chemist, R&D
As a chemicals supplier to almost all industries, BASF will establish a standalone subsidiary dedicated to its Mobile Emissions Catalysts, Precious Metals Trading, Recycling, and related Products and Services business. The new group is referred to as BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions and is wholly owned by BASF. BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions will operate globally in over 15 countries and comprise of approximately 20 production sites and over 4,000 employees.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental and theoretical research assignments under guidance of a lab team leader supporting the development of novel technologies in the field of exhaust after treatment catalysts.
- Contribute to strengthen safety and 5S awareness and execution; Ensure Zero LTI, occupational disease, loss of containment, and exceeding environmental regulation limit.
- perform routine scientific research tasks under supervision of a lab team leader, by using standard techniques, procedures, and equipment.
- Document and analyze results.
- Prepare, run and maintain lab equipment such as analyzing equipment, etc.
- Perform general lab assignments (e.g., lab housekeeping) as assigned.
- According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implement and comply with the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Education: Junior college degree or above in chemistry, chemical engineering, or relevant areas.
- Working Experience: At least 3 years for associate degree, 0 year for bachelor degree.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- English skills: Could read & write simple English, speaking skills would be a plus.
